The Pōhutukawa Flower is one of New Zealand’s most loved natural treasures. I created this piece in celebration of its unique shape — the beautiful, dense brush of long, delicate stamens that make this flower so special.

Every year when the pōhutukawa begin to bloom, they bring so much joy and wonder to those living in and visiting Aotearoa. For many of us, they are a sign that the warmer season has arrived.

A small tribute to one of New Zealand’s most iconic and joyful flowers.
