Artist statements:

“My art is characterised by texture, vibrant colours, exotic themes, and intricate details. I have a deep love for nature and its organic forms, which is reflected in my work. This artwork represents love, love for one another, and love for coexistence. As I recreated Anna's artwork, originally titled "My Sunshine," into my own clay version, now known as "My Floral Sunshine," each stroke of clay I added symbolises the love we have for nature and the incredible detail with which it is designed. It also symbolises our love for the people we hold dear in our lives, accepting them in their entirety.” ~ Emy: Clay Artist 

"'My Sunshine' finds its roots in my daughter Mia. Nightly, I sang 'You Are My Sunshine' to her as a child. Now, she's grown into a radiant, fun, compassionate, and inspirational young woman. My artwork aims to capture this sentiment. This original digital artwork was hand-drawn by me, using reference photos from my travels. When Emy reached out to me, I was excited to collaborate with her on this artwork and to work alongside another talented artist, who uses a unique medium.” ~ Anna: NZ Contemporary Artist
